In 1958, Bob Toepp Sr. went to work for Bill as an apprentice. Bob had dropped out of school as a junior to support his family. His father had hurt his back and could not work.
After working for a year, Bob’s father was able to return to work. Bill convinced Bob to return to school, stressing the importance of education. Bill took his advice and gaduated from High School while still working for Bills Auto.
